Director Operational Excellence

As the Global Operational Excellence Head for LEAN Manufacturing, you will play a pivotal role in driving change and building a culture of excellence across the organization. Reporting to the local General Manager with a global dotted line to the Vice President of Operational Excellence, you will spearhead LEAN implementation, coach teams, and collaborate on the creation of a global Centre of Excellence. Your responsibilities will include being the face of OpEx at your site, ensuring the adoption of LEAN culture, tools, and behaviors. You will lead Kaizen events, provide training on methodologies such as 5S, VSM, and PDCA, and coach teams to drive continuous improvement. Monitoring performance against OpEx goals and collaborating with global sites to share best practices will be key aspects of your role. To excel in this position, you should have at least 15 years of hands-on experience in LEAN manufacturing, with a proven track record of applying tools like 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement techniques. Strong communication, coaching, and training skills are essential, as you will be influencing and developing teams. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required, and experience in driving change is a must. While an engineering background is beneficial, practical LEAN manufacturing experience is highly valued. Proficiency in MS Office and data-driven improvement tracking is necessary, and a willingness to travel globally (1525%) is expected, demonstrating your flexibility and adaptability to different environments.
