Director of Engineering

Role Overview: As the Director of Engineering at SIDGS, you will lead a global engineering team structured around PODs and shared service towers. Your role involves scaling delivery across multi-disciplinary teams in areas such as App Dev, Web Dev, DevSecOps, Cloud, SRE, Data & AI, and Solution Architecture. Your strategic leadership in a professional services environment is crucial for ensuring engineering excellence, process governance, talent growth, and technical innovation across client engagements. Key Responsibilities: - Lead a matrixed engineering organization and drive alignment across functional engineering towers and shared services. - Mentor Engineering Leads, promote continuous technical and leadership development, and own end-to-end accountability for engineering deliverables. - Ensure adherence to engineering standards, secure coding practices, and audit readiness. - Oversee operational metrics, DevSecOps pipelines, SRE operations, and cloud infra governance. - Collaborate with Solution Engineering and Sales to support pre-sales, estimation, and proposal development. - Champion the adoption of emerging technologies like GenAI, Vertex AI, and LangChain into client solutions. - Promote reusable reference architectures, knowledge sharing via COPs, and lead Engineering Process Governance & Audit (PG&A). - Set and monitor KPIs for engineering productivity, code quality, CI/CD performance, and uptime. - Ensure security compliance, including CVE remediation and DAST/SAST implementation. - Partner with internal R&D teams to pilot new technologies and integrate them into practice. - Promote certification tracks, hackathons, and experimentation in modern cloud-native and AI-based architectures. Qualification Required: - 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in leadership roles. - Proven track record managing geographically distributed engineering teams in a services or consulting firm. - Deep understanding of cloud platforms, CI/CD, DevSecOps, SRE tools, full-stack engineering, and AI/ML platforms. - Strong program/project management acumen with a bias for execution. - Demonstrated experience in solution architecture and client delivery management. - Certifications in cloud, DevSecOps, or AI/ML are a plus. - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field preferred.,
