Director of Engineering

You will be responsible for leading and managing the engineering teams at IKS Health to drive the development of innovative software solutions. Your role will involve translating the company's technical vision into strategy and actionable plans, overseeing the entire software development lifecycle, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products. Your key responsibilities will include leading and managing the engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. You will define and drive the technical vision and architecture for the organization's software products and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of engineering initiatives. Establishing and maintaining engineering best practices, standards, and processes will also be part of your role. You will be expected to drive innovation and continuous improvement in engineering practices and technologies. Managing the software development lifecycle, including planning, prioritization, execution, and delivery of projects will be crucial. Your involvement in the codebase to guide architectural decisions, review complex implementations, and model best practices is essential. You will participate actively in coding, especially in designing core components, solving complex problems, and conducting code reviews. Ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of the company's software products will be a key focus. You will contribute to the development and review of product requirements documents and functional specifications. Tracking progress, communicating risks, and escalating concerns in a timely manner will also be part of your responsibilities. Establishing software development practices and standards to maintain high-quality products is crucial. In terms of qualifications, you should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. A proven track record of successfully leading and managing engineering teams to deliver high-quality software products is required. Strong technical background with expertise in software development methodologies, technologies, and best practices is essential. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results. You should have at least 12 years of experience with the full software development lifecycle, including but not limited to waterfall, Agile, and Scrum development practices. Additionally, at least 7 years of experience in agile development is required. Experience developing solutions for clinical operations would be preferred. At least 8 years of hands-on application development experience using Microsoft Technologies is necessary. Proven expertise in application architecture, system design, and development, as well as an understanding of industry best practices and experience in cloud services, automation, and integration, would be advantageous.,
