Director of Artificial Intelligence

You will be joining IDfy as an AI Lead (Director, AI), where you will have a direct impact on the end-to-end lifecycle of AI-driven solutions. Your responsibilities will include working on cutting-edge solutions to combat fraud across various geographies and modes. You will engage in activities ranging from data acquisition and model training to deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of the AI platform. Performance tuning and optimization efforts will be under your ownership to ensure high-performance AI systems. Collaboration on R&D for evaluating and integrating cutting-edge technologies will be part of your role to enhance the platform with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning. Designing and building robust solutions, including APIs, will also be your responsibility to expose AI capabilities and ensure model reliability and scalability in production at a large scale. Additionally, you will contribute to documentation and provide technical guidance to team members on best practices. Qualifications required for this role include: - 12+ years of experience as a hands-on AI engineer or data scientist driving impactful AI initiatives in production settings - Proven experience in framing and solving complex problems with AI models, particularly in computer vision or NLP, and GenAI, deploying them at scale - Hands-on experience with LLMs, expertise in fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and model selection - 6+ years of experience in building and maintaining large-scale production AI systems, including optimization and tuning for deployment at scale - Proficiency in Python and knowledge of its standard and AI-related libraries such as Pytorch, OpenCV, etc. - Strong skills in monitoring and debugging production AI systems for sustained reliability and efficiency - Experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers, sharing expertise to uplift team knowledge - Capability to interact with various stakeholders including senior leadership and customers from demanding industries - Some familiarity with AI Ops and associated tooling to streamline AI processes - Cloud experience with AWS/GCP/Azure Good-to-have qualifications include experience with other languages, familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for efficient service deployment, experience with various platforms, frameworks, and tools in the AI and machine learning ecosystem, as well as publications and patents in the AI domain.,
