Director Enterprise Architect, Development

Role Overview: As a member of the TRD Architecture team at Novartis, your role will involve providing operational and technical management to support the organization's strategic business goals. You will collaborate closely with Enterprise Architects to drive technology standards definition, design optimal solutions, and ensure alignment with business needs for the continuous improvement of our IT landscape. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee architectural activities for Technical Research and Development (TRD) and develop solution architectures for projects within TRD. - Coordinate with cross-functional teams to incorporate the right business and technical capabilities into solutions, considering future scalability. - Define standards and directions for TRD architecture, ensuring alignment with business processes and outcomes. - Develop logical designs and information management plans to effectively store, move, and handle data in a new target state. - Utilize architecture patterns to recommend the best utilization of technical platforms for holistic solution design. - Contribute to Enterprise standards and Architecture Governance, supporting DDIT initiatives and technology evaluations. - Lead the integration of emerging technologies into TRD architecture to drive digital transformation and business growth. - Ensure user experience, compliance policies, and ethical considerations are prioritized in solution design and deployment. - Drive governance of standard solution portfolio for TRD Domain and support business partners in technology architecture discussions. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in a computer or IT-related field, MBA optional. - 10 years of experience in an IT environment, with a focus on Pharmaceutical industries, particularly Drug Development/Clinical space. - Proficiency in Lean/Six Sigma, Design Thinking, Agile methodology. - Extensive project and change management experience. - Experience in leveraging digital technology in Drug Development. - Track record of delivering global solutions, collaborating with senior management, and managing manufacturing IT systems in the pharmaceutical industry. - Ability to deliver data-driven recommendations for efficiency and value addition.
