We are looking for a seasoned leader with experience building India operations for US-based technology consulting organizations from the ground up. This role requires someone with executive presence, strong people leadership, and operations expertise, including KPI tracking.
This position will be highly visible, requiring the ability to travel to the US as needed to build trust and alignment with the global leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
People & Culture
- Ensure effective hiring, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract top software engineering and operations talent.
- Provide strong leadership for development, back office, and operations teams, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
- Champion employee engagement, talent development, and succession planning to build future leaders.
- Create an environment of accountability, empowerment, and psychological safety.
Operational Excellence & Workflow Automation
- Act as the Head of Office, responsible for day-to-day management and decision-making.
- Deliver operational objectives in quality, timeliness, and productivity across consulting and support functions.
- Establish and scale office infrastructure, systems, and processes.
- Lead workflow automation projects to streamline operations, reduce manual overhead, and enhance productivity across India and US teams.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, empowering teams to make informed, timely decisions.
- Build and manage quality, performance, and compliance frameworks.
Strategic Execution & Client Engagement
- Partner with US leadership to execute strategic initiatives and support national service delivery.
- Serve as a client-facing executive with strong presence and the ability to represent InRhythm in India.
- Ensure India operations are fully integrated with US Centers of Excellence (COEs), automated workflows, and global processes.
- Contribute operational insights to transformation projects and corporate strategy.
Financial & Resource Management
- Work with MD, Finance & Business Operations to manage and maintain site operating budgets, ensuring prudent financial management.
- Track KPIs and P&L metrics to drive efficiency, scalability, and profitability.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, automation, and operational improvements.
What Were Looking For
- 12-15+ years total experience, with at least 7+ years building India teams for US-based modern software consulting firms (preferably having done this successfully).
- Proven ability to attract, retain, and manage senior, high-performing software engineering and back office talent.
- Strong ability to set up scalable processes, track KPIs, and build consistent cultures.
- Strong operations experience with general and budget management.
- Executive presence with excellent client-facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving, including conflict resolution, client management, and negotiation (MSA/SOW experience a plus).
- Deep knowledge of the local and national job market, talent supply, and competitive positioning.
- Experience in entrepreneurial, fast-paced organizations over the last 5 years.
- Ability to travel to the US (B1-B2 visitor Visa already in place strongly preferred).

Must haves
Candidate must have 1214 years of total experience
Must come from the IT consulting space, preferably a boutique indian IT Services firm (30150 people, up to 200 max) or a GCC.
If its a GCC ,then must have joined the GCC in its early stage when it was 20-40 people and the GCC must be a Tech focused one and not one in the BPO space
Must have a Background in business side (non-tech), ideally with HR ops / Finance/Marketing/business operations experience
Strong track record of working with US stakeholders/clients
Client-facing personality
Should not be from IT staffing background
Should not be from a very large IT services firm
Reports into Managing Director Finance & Business Operations
Will have around 5–7 team members from Operations reporting to him (dotted line reporting) and 1–2 direct reportees from Finance/operations.
There is no p&l responsibilities
B1/B2 Visitor Visa holders are preferred
Location: Bangalore (supporting operations for US HQ)
At home to start with and then Hybrid once an office is started
