Job Description

We’re looking for a direct response copywriter who can move fast, think strategically, and write clever, high-performing headlines and copy for ecommerce email & SMS.

Salary: Starting 1200 USD/month, depending on experience and work (


This role is ideal for someone with agency experience who understands pace, prioritization, and the 80/20 rule: getting strong, revenue-driving copy out efficiently without over-polishing what doesn’t move the needle.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Write high-converting email and SMS campaigns for ecommerce brands
  • Come up with clever, creative headlines and hooks that drive opens, clicks, and sales
  • Craft engaging subject lines and preview text
  • Write persuasive body copy aligned with offers and brand voice
  • Study and adapt winning email strategies from top ecommerce brands
  • Collaborate with strategists and designers in a fast-paced environment
  • Test, analyze, and optimize copy using performance data
  • Ship copy efficiently while focusing effort where it matters most


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in direct response copywriting for ecommerce
  • Agency background (or similar fast-paced environment)
  • Strong experience with email & SMS marketing and retention
  • Ability to generate creative headlines without sacrificing clarity or conversion
  • Comfortable applying the 80/20 principle to meet deadlines
  • Data-driven mindset — decisions guided by metrics, not opinions
  • AI & Tools


We’re fine with the use of AI tools (including ChatGPT) to increase efficiency

  • AI should be used as a tool, not a crutch
  • You are expected to steer the strategy, voice, and final output
  • Original thinking, judgment, and optimization remain your responsibility

  • Know when “good and shipped” beats “perfect and late”
  • Regularly analyze other ecommerce brands’ email marketing
  • Take feedback well and iterate fast
  • Care more about results than ego or writing style


Bonus Points

  • Experience building and optimizing email/SMS flows
  • Familiarity with Klaviyo or similar platforms
  • Understanding of ecommerce offers, funnels, and customer psychology
