Dimensional Inspector

As a Dimensional Inspection Specialist at Siemens Energy, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that inspections are conducted in accordance with specifications. Your responsibilities will include reviewing the technical and formal aspects of documentation, addressing any discrepancies that may arise, and collaborating with a cross-departmental team to implement necessary corrective actions. You will be an integral part of a distributed team, engaging with colleagues across various regions. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare, execute, and follow up on dimensional inspections for raw and finished cast components. - Conduct manual dimensional inspections at supplier sites for components used in power generation equipment, such as gas, steam turbines, and generators. - Lead supplier qualification and development initiatives to enhance supplier quality and the quality of purchased parts. - Implement preventive measures at suppliers to proactively identify and mitigate potential quality issues. - Collaborate effectively with a team and internal stakeholders to drive continuous quality improvements. - Perform internal reviews of technical drawings to ensure compliance and accuracy. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in dimensional inspection. - Technical background in mechanical engineering, manufacturing technology, or metalworking, with expertise in quality assurance and measurement techniques. - Strong collaboration and communication skills, proactive approach, and flexibility. - Familiarity with advanced measurement methods, including 3D captured and evaluated measurement data (modelling experience is a plus). - Proficiency in MS Office applications and SAP, with fluency in English. - Willingness to travel nationally, internationally, and intercontinentally as required. - Knowledge of quality methodologies such as 5 Whys, FMEA, 8D, and RCA (preferred). - Experience or certifications in NDT (VT, PT, or MT) are advantageous.
