Job Description

The Digital Product Owner for Electromobility Charging Services will lead the development and evolution of digital charging solutions that enable customers to efficiently operate Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) as part of complete transport solutions. This role serves as a critical link between business stakeholders and technical development teams, ensuring delivery of high-value, customer-focused products within Volvo Group Connected Solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Product Leadership & Vision

Define, own, and communicate the product vision and roadmap for Electromobility Charging Services.

Develop and maintain a prioritized product backlog aligned with customer needs and business goals.

Ensure value creation and cost efficiency within allocated budgets.

Lead product lifecycle management from concept to launch and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Management

Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, partners, and development teams.

Collect and prioritize business requirements, translating them into actionable features and stories.

Align product strategy with overall business objectives and technology direction.

Present and report product progress, KPIs, and outcomes in internal and cross-functional forums.

Team Collaboration & Leadership

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, UX designers, testers, architects and business analysts.

Work with the Scrum Master to continuously improve team performance and delivery processes.

Coach, mentor, and support team members, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.

Partner with the team manager to identify skill gaps, provide feedback, and support team growth.

Delivery & Execution

Drive backlog refinement, sprint planning, and delivery tracking to ensure timely execution.

Lead requirement definition and validation within the Electromobility Charging domain.

Contribute to common topics in the Electromobility Charging product team and Product Owner forums.

Ensure product decisions are data-driven and customer-focused.

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Background

bachelors or masters degree in a relevant field (eg, Engineering, Computer Science, Business).
Several years of experience in product management or software development roles.
Experience working with Agile methodologies, ideally within the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).

Skills & Competencies

Proven ability to define and execute product strategy and roadmaps.
Strong business acumen with a customer-centric mindset.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across diverse teams.
Capable of balancing technical understanding with commercial priorities.
Self-driven, structured, and proactive in managing responsibilities.

Preferred / Desirable

Experience in the automotive or electromobility sector.
Familiarity with transport operations and connected services.
Knowledge of cloud-based, microservice-oriented software architectures.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
