Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Social Media Strategy & Planning

  • Build and execute a clear social media strategy aligned with Watnxts growth and brand goals.
  • Own the content calendar across

    Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Meta

    , ensuring consistency and relevance.
  • Adapt messaging and formats per platform while maintaining a unified brand voice.

2. Content Creation & Storytelling

  • Create engaging content including

    Reels, TikToks, carousels, short-form videos, stories, and static posts

    .
  • Develop content around careers, internships, apprenticeships, student journeys, employer stories, and skill development.
  • Write compelling captions and copy optimized for engagement, discoverability, and platform algorithms.
  • Ideate and execute trend-led content while staying authentic to the brand.

3. Community Building & Engagement

  • Actively engage with students, graduates, employers, and partners through comments, DMs, and mentions.
  • Build and nurture a strong digital community aligned with youth empowerment and employability.
  • Drive engagement via polls, Q&As, campaigns, and interactive formats.

4. Campaigns & Collaborations

  • Support digital campaigns including platform launches, employer features, partnerships, and events.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders for timely content delivery.
  • Assist with live or real-time content during events, workshops, and activations.

5. Trend Monitoring & Optimization

  • Track social media trends, competitor activity, and conversations across EdTech, careers, and youth employment.
  • Proactively suggest content ideas based on trends and performance insights.

6. Analytics & Performance Tracking

  • Monitor key metrics such as reach, engagement, follower growth, impressions, and video performance.
  • Prepare simple monthly insights reports with recommendations to improve performance and impact.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors degree in any stream
  • 1-3 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or content creation (internships included)
  • Strong working knowledge of

    Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Meta platforms

  • Solid understanding of current social media trends, short-form video formats, and platform algorithms
  • Experience with tools such as

    Meta Business Suite, Creator Studio, Hootsuite, or similar

  • Understanding of SEO, analytics, and performance metrics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Creative, proactive, and detail-oriented mindset
  • Strong interest in education, careers, startups, and youth-focused platforms
