Job Description

  • This person will be responsible for driving measurable improvements in website engagement, conversion rates, usability, and user experience. In this role, youll collaborate closely with different teams to create frictionless user journeys and drive marketing KPIs.
  • This role reports to the senior manager of digital strategy and is an individual contributor role that will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams like content marketing, demand generation, design, front-end development, marketing operations and more to bring improvements to life.

Here is how, through this exciting role, you will contribute to BMC's and your own success:

  • Audit, analyze, and optimize user flows, navigation, and conversion paths across the company website for B2B audiences
  • Examine analytics and conduct research of varying types and levels of formality to uncover opportunities for improvement of our digital experiences, including requests and self-directed
  • Identify individual pages, groups of pages, templates, components, user journeys, micro experiences and more and make detailed recommendations on how to improve them
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and learnings to stakeholders in accessible, data-driven narratives
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, like design, content, web development, and more to execute improvements
  • Contribute to website testing and personalization, including strategy and execution
  • In some cases, work with technical team members to influence the elements of the technology stack we use to accomplish our digital goals
  • Suggest new and novel digital tactics and strategies

To ensure you are set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in website optimization, digital strategy, UX research, CRO, or a closely related discipline
  • Documented measurable success in optimizing websites
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
  • Desire familiarity with some (but not all) analytics, heatmapping, CRO, user research tools (may include tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Hotjar, Glassbox, Maze, User Testing, etc.)
  • Analytical, self-directed, comfortable interpreting and presenting data, and able to tell clear stories with insights
  • Strong curiosity, and mind for conducting research, both formal and informal
  • Excellent collaboratorskilled at working across disciplines and departments to build consensus and drive results
  • Empathy for end users and stakeholders: passionate about creating seamless, intuitive digital experiences
  • Adaptable and eager to learn new tools, techniques, and approaches as the digital landscape evolves
  • Basic English writing skills in context of usability improvements, like being able to suggest better CTA button text aligned with site context and user expectations
  • Good schedule overlap with USA working hours for collaboration critical to the role
  • Preferred degree in a field like User Experience (UX) design, psychology, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), digital marketing, business analytics, interactive media or similar.
