Digital Designer

As a Graphic Designer at Farnell, an Avnet company, your primary role will be to create visual concepts using computer software to effectively communicate messaging that inspires, informs, and captivates the audience or viewer. You will be responsible for developing the overall layout and production design for various internal and external communications such as banner ads, HTML email pushes, ads, brochures, and more. Key Responsibilities: - Work with internal groups and/or business partners to coordinate the design of new marketing/sales projects, discussing business objectives and requirements. - Develop graphics, visual or audio images that identify a product or convey a message while adhering to brand guidelines. - Present ideas, concepts, and final imagery to clients, advising them on strategies to reach specific audiences. - Monitor and assess the effectiveness of design projects. - Manage project details and daily activities to ensure the project is on-plan as defined. - Stay updated on emerging technologies in new media and design programs like InDesign, QuarkXPress, FreeHand, Illustrator, Photoshop, 3ds Max, Acrobat, Director, Dreamweaver, and Flash. Qualifications Required: - Foundational knowledge of specialized disciplines, industry practices, and standards acquired through academic instruction and/or relevant work experience at a similar level. - Ability to develop solutions to defined tasks, assignments, and projects using specialized foundational knowledge. - Capability to work independently with judgment and discretion, while collaborating with immediate management and team members within the department or function. - Prior work experience of typically less than 2 years with a bachelor's degree or equivalent. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
