Diamond Grader

You will be responsible for performing the initial examination and testing of various gems and jewelry items submitted for grading or checking. This includes following pre-determined grading methodology and procedures to locate, identify, and document characteristics, treatments, and other features present in gems & jewels. Additionally, you will verify or determine various measurements and proportions according to laboratory procedures. Your role will involve participating in the laboratory's Quality Management System by initiating corrective and preventative actions as needed, conducting instrument calibration & maintenance, and contributing to the continuous improvement of laboratory quality. You will also have the opportunity to mentor and train junior graders by providing hands-on guidance in diamond grading techniques, quality assessment, and certification standards to ensure consistency and accuracy in evaluations. Furthermore, you will be responsible for assigning parameter grades according to the laboratory's procedures in accordance with the International Diamond Grading System. This position is Full-time and Permanent, with the work location being in person.
