Budgeting & Monitoring Engineer
1. Budgeting Responsibilities Cost estimation for mining operations like exploration, drilling, blasting, hauling, processing, rehabilitation, etc. Preparing capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operational expenditure (OPEX) budgets monthly and FY. Working with the Project, procurement, finance, and operations teams to align budget allocations. Conducting cost analyses for new projects or equipment purchases. Monitoring actual costs against budget and identifying variances. Supporting financial forecasting and long-term financial planning.
4. Coordination & Communication
Liaising between planning, operations, finance, and procurement departments. Communicating financial and scheduling issues to project stakeholders. Supporting decision-making with data-driven insights.
5. Software and Tools Proficient in software such as: Primavera P6, Microsoft Project (for scheduling) SAP, ERP systems, or cost control software AutoCAD, Surpac, or other mine planning tools (optional but beneficial) MS Excel, PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting
6. Compliance & Documentation Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and statutory regulations. Documenting all planning and budgeting procedures. Supporting audits and internal reviews.

Strong analytical and numerical ability. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Communication and coordination skills. Industry knowledge in mining operations and engineering principles.
