As a Litigation Manager, your role involves developing and overseeing strategies for handling various litigation cases, including civil, criminal, and regulatory matters. You will be responsible for managing in-house litigation related to civil and criminal matters, as well as handling pre-litigation disputes and conducting settlement negotiations to minimize legal exposure. Additionally, you will represent the organization in court proceedings, arbitrations, and tribunals as necessary. Your responsibilities also include providing sound legal advice to management and business units regarding litigation risks and strategies, ensuring that litigation strategies align with business objectives. You will review, analyze, and negotiate resolutions for contractual disputes arising from contracts, agreements, or vendor partnerships. In terms of compliance, you will be required to ensure adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements, as well as develop policies to mitigate potential litigation risks and ensure legal compliance. You will also play a key role in guiding and mentoring the in-house legal team, while liaising with external counsel, monitoring team performance, and providing necessary training to enhance legal proficiency. Moreover, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing a database of legal cases, providing regular updates to management, and drafting and reviewing legal pleadings, affidavits, and other related documentation.
