Senior Liaison Officer – Government Relations & Subsidy Approvals

This role demands strong interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to effectively influence and engage with government stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Government Liaison:

    Build, strengthen, and maintain strong working relationships with central, state, and local government departments/agencies to facilitate smooth processing of subsidies, clearances, and approvals.
  • Subsidy Approvals:

    Lead end-to-end processes for applying, tracking, and securing government subsidies, grants, and incentives relevant to the organization.
  • Policy Advocacy:

    Collaborate with government stakeholders and industry associations to contribute to the development, refinement, and implementation of incentive and subsidy policies.
  • Regulatory Compliance:

    Ensure complete compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines across all liaison activities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:

    Act as the primary point of contact between the organization and government bodies, effectively communicating organizational requirements and representing company interests.
  • Documentation & Reporting:

    Prepare, review, and manage all documentation for approvals and applications; provide regular updates and detailed reports to senior leadership on progress, risks, and outcomes.
  • Strategic Support:

    Advise leadership on policy changes, subsidy opportunities, and government programs that could impact the organization’s operations and growth.
  • Networking & Representation:

    Represent the organization in government forums, industry associations, and policy discussions to strengthen visibility and advocacy.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum

    8–12 years

    of relevant experience in government relations, subsidy approvals, or policy advocacy.
  • Prior experience with

    Big 4 consulting firms

    or top-tier advisory firms will be a strong advantage.
  • Proven expertise in

    subsidy/incentive policies

    , government regulations, and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong existing network with central/state government officials and industry associations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple projects, and deliver results within tight deadlines.
  • Educational background:

    Graduate/Postgraduate

    in Law, Public Policy, Business Administration, or related field preferred CA/CS etc.
