The DevOps Manager at ZeOmega will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining our continuous integration, automation, and deployment processes. This leadership position requires a highly skilled professional capable of managing and enhancing our build, release, and infrastructure systems. The successful candidate will oversee the automation of software delivery pipelines, ensure the stability and security of our deployment environments, and facilitate seamless collaboration across development, testing, and operations teams. This role demands a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring that ZeOmega's software products are delivered efficiently, reliably, and with high quality.Qualifications
To qualify for this role, candidates should possess a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in build, release, and systems engineering, with a proven track record in DevOps practices. A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with DevOps tools and methodologies is essential. Candidates must have proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Ruby, and Bash, along with intermediate experience working within Windows and GNU/Linux environments. Familiarity with continuous integration tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity, or similar platforms is required. Additionally, candidates should have experience with version control systems such as Git, SVN, or Perforce, and knowledge of build tools including Maven, Ant, or Buildout. Experience with configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef, Salt, or Ansible is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are also essential for success in this role.Responsibilities
The DevOps Manager will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation tools, scripts, and systems to support continuous integration and deployment pipelines. This includes managing version control, issue tracking, and build release processes to ensure timely and reliable software delivery. Collaborating closely with the Quality Assurance team, the manager will ensure that all releases meet organizational standards and compliance requirements. The role involves managing the creation, testing, and deployment of software builds, troubleshooting release-related issues, and implementing improvements to infrastructure and processes. The manager will oversee the packaging and deployment of internal modules and third-party libraries, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all projects. Additionally, the role requires administering and upgrading build systems, managing infrastructure, and fostering a culture of service excellence and innovation within the organization.
