Position Overview

Embedded Linux / Yocto Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Yocto/OpenEmbedded

• Bitbake recipes

• CMake, Python, and Bash

• CI/CD pipelines

• Principle of Least Privilege (PoLP)

• Collaborate with hardware, QA, and software teams to define system requirements.

• Debug, optimize, and improve embedded Linux platforms across different hardware targets.

• Support Azure Cloud services integration for build orchestration and release automation.

• Google Test, QTest, or Squish

• Participate in design reviews, documentation, and customer-oriented discussions.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with:

  • Yocto / OpenEmbedded

  • Bitbake

  • CMake

  • Python

  • Bash / Shell scripting

• Experience building Linux systems for embedded platforms.

• Knowledge of CI/CD systems and workflow design.

• DevOps

• Experience with Azure Cloud (preferred).

Testing Skills

• Hands-on experience with at least one test automation framework:

  • Google Test

  • QTest

  • Squish

Soft Skills

• Self-starter with strong ownership and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication.

• Customer-focused, collaborative, and proactive.

• Strong decision-making abilities.
