Devops Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable infrastructure (on-premise and cloud-based).
  
• Automate system provisioning and configuration using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline code deployment, testing, and delivery.
  
• Manage and administer Linux/Ubuntu server environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
  
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and tune for reliability and resilience.
  
• Collaborate with Security teams to implement best practices: firewalls, IAM, encryption, vulnerability scanning, patch management.
  
• Manage networking configurations, VPNs, load balancers, DNS, and routing for both internal and external systems.
  
• Develop scripts in Bash and Python to automate repetitive tasks, generate reports, integrate systems, and enhance operational efficiency.
  
• Establish infrastructure-as-code (IaC) standards, code reviews, and manage version control systems (e.g., Git).
  
• Document architecture, processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs); share knowledge across teams.
  
• Stay current on emerging DevOps, cloud, and security technologies/trends; propose and adopt improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Operating Systems:

  Proficient in Linux/Ubuntu administrationincluding installation, networking, permissions, storage, package management, and performance tuning.

• Infrastructure as Code:

  Experienced with Terraform and Ansible for provisioning and configuration at scale.

• CI/CD Pipelines:

  Solid experience building pipelines in tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar.

• Cloud Platforms:

  Hands-on knowledge of AWS / Azure / GCP services (compute, networking, storage, IAM, monitoring), with at least one as primary focus.

• Networking & Security:

  Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, load balancers, firewalls, IAM, SSH, TLS, and system hardening.

• System Administration:

  Deep experience managing Linux-based servers and distributed systems.

• Scripting:

  Advanced scripting skills in

  Bash

  and

  Python

  , with emphasis on automation, tooling, and problem-solving.

• Automation & Tooling:

  Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK), logging, incident response, and alerting practices.

• Collaboration:

  Excellent communication skills, ability to work cross-functionally in agile environments.
