Devops Engineer

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or software development
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps principles

Technical Skills:

• Programming & Scripting: Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript, or similar) with focus on automation scripting
• Version Control: Advanced knowledge of Git, including branching strategies, merge conflict resolution, and repository management
• CI/CD Tools: Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar pipeline automation tools
• Build Tools: Familiarity with Maven, Gradle, NPM, MSBuild, and other build automation tools
• Containerization: Practical experience with Docker for creating custom images, managing containers, and troubleshooting containerized applications
• Orchestration: Basic to intermediate experience with Kubernetes (K8s) for deploying applications, managing pods, deployments, and services
• Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including compute, storage, and networking services
• Configuration Management: Working knowledge of Ansible, Puppet, or Chef for infrastructure automation and configuration management
• Operating Systems: Strong Linux/Unix system administration skills for managing servers and troubleshooting issues
• Monitoring & Observability: Experience with monitoring tools such as NewRelic, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar platforms
• Security Integration: Basic understanding of DevSecOps practices and security integration in CI/CD pipelines
• Deployment Strategies: Understanding and practical experience with blue-green deployments, rolling updates, and canary releases
