Devops Engineer

As a Site Reliability Engineer at Salesforce, you will be responsible for the high availability of a large fleet of clusters running various technologies like Kubernetes, software load balancers, service mesh, and more. Your role will involve troubleshooting real production issues, contributing code for driving improvement, automating day-to-day operations, enhancing platform visibility through monitoring and metrics, implementing self-healing mechanisms, and evaluating new technologies to solve problems as needed. You will also collaborate with infrastructure teams, developers, and architects while improving your communication and collaboration skills. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure high availability of clusters running various technologies - Troubleshoot real production issues and contribute code for improvement - Drive automation efforts using Python, Golang, Terraform, Spinnaker, Puppet, Jenkins - Enhance platform visibility through monitoring and metrics implementation - Implement self-healing mechanisms to proactively fix issues - Collaborate with various infrastructure teams, developers, and architects - Evaluate new technologies to solve problems as needed Qualifications Required: - Experience operating large-scale distributed systems, especially in cloud environments - Excellent troubleshooting skills in complex distributed systems - Strong working experience in Linux Systems Administration with good knowledge of Linux internals - Proficiency in scripting/programming languages like Python, GoLang, etc. - Basic knowledge of Networking protocols and components - Experience with Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or other DevOps tools - Familiarity with monitoring tools like Nagios, Grafana, Zabbix, etc. - Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or Service Mesh - Familiarity with AWS, Terraform, Spinnaker - Continuous learner and critical thinker - Strong team player with excellent communication skills Working at Salesforce, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits package including well-being reimbursement, generous parental leave, adoption assistance, fertility benefits, and more.
