Job Description

DevOps Engineer

This role will involve auditing our current setup, recommending and implementing optimizations, and building robust processes for monitoring, deployment, and disaster recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure:
Audit our current DigitalOcean setup and reconfigure for better performance, security, and cost efficiency.
Deployment & Automation:
Set up CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure with tools like Terraform/Ansible.
Security:
Strengthen firewalls, access control, monitoring, and logging.
Performance:
Optimize servers, databases, and caching for stability and faster response times.
Cost Efficiency:
Streamline resource usage and recommend smarter configurations.
Reliability:
Put in place backup, failover, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure high availability.

Requirements:

Proven experience managing
cloud infrastructure
(preferably DigitalOcean, AWS, or GCP).
Strong knowledge of
Linux system administration
and
networking fundamentals
.
Experience with
CI/CD pipelines
(GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
Familiarity with
containerization and orchestration
(Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficiency with
IaC tools
(Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
Solid understanding of
security practices
(SSL, firewalls, intrusion detection).
Experience with
monitoring & logging tools
(Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
Knowledge of
database optimisation and scaling
(MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB).
