Job Description

Job Title: Junior DevOps Support Engineer

Location:

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated

Junior DevOps Support Engineer

to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in automation, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines, and be eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with senior engineers to maintain and improve our deployment pipelines, infrastructure, and monitoring systems.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the setup, maintenance, and optimization of
Azure
cloud infrastructure and client support.
Provide L1 support for client environments during business and afterhours.
Work with
Jenkins, Azure DevOps
to manage and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with developers and operations to ensure smooth delivery processes.
Monitor and maintain Linux-based systems and services.
Help manage and track work using
Jira
in an agile environment.
Assist in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
Document processes, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.

Required Skills & Experience

(Junior-level candidates are not expected to be experts in all areas willingness to learn is key)

Basic understanding of
Azure
cloud services.
Familiarity with
Kubernetes
concepts (pods, deployments, services).
Exposure to
Jenkins
or other CI/CD tools.
Hands-on experience with
Linux
command line.
Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
Understanding of agile workflows and issue tracking in
Jira
.
Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep).
Understanding of DevOps concepts such as CI/CD, GitOps, and automated testing.
Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor).
Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancers, firewalls).

Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR equivalent hands-on experience.
0-2 years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud, or System Administration.
