DevOps Engineer

You have an exciting opportunity in Chennai [Hybrid] with an experience requirement of 7 to 16 years. As part of this role, you will be responsible for influencing, collaborating, and managing expectations with immediate stakeholders and the team. Additionally, you will need to build software with consideration for the customer's ability to support and maintain it while providing support and leadership by mentoring client team members. Clear communication of technical concepts to any audience is a key aspect, along with demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing environments. Key Responsibilities: - Open and capable of pair or mob programming, working closely with developers in cross-functional teams. - Proficiency in programming languages and coding experience, including building a simple service with automated tests. - Strong automation skills, particularly in unit testing and automated testing tools. - Delivering small pieces of work continuously, preferring shorter feedback loops and aiming for all work to go into production. - Solid technical background in build, release, and environments, with expertise in software build tools and CI tools like Jenkins, Gitlab, and Github Actions. - Proficiency in Linux and/or Windows, along with comfort working on the command line. - Knowledge of Cloud Computing providers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, including experience with functions, containers, and virtual machines. - Familiarity with infrastructure provisioning tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure ARM, and Pulumi. - Understanding telemetry practices such as monitoring, graphing, alerting, and anomaly detection, along with tools like Elastic, Grafana, Datadog, Sensu, and Prometheus. - Proficiency in network implementation, debugging network issues, and collaborating with networking teams to build and maintain networks. - Experience in running, operating, and supporting software in production. Qualifications Required: - 7 to 16 years of experience in software development and engineering roles. - Proficiency in programming languages and coding experience. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing environments. - Experience with software build tools, CI tools, and automation testing tools. - Knowledge of Cloud Computing providers and infrastructure provisioning tools. - Understanding of telemetry practices and network implementation.
