DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer at AuditorsDesk, you will play a crucial role in designing, deploying, and maintaining AWS infrastructure using Terraform for provisioning and configuration management. Your primary responsibility will be to implement and manage EC2 instances, including their lifecycle management, scaling, and optimization. Additionally, you will configure and manage application load balancers to ensure efficient traffic distribution and deploy AWS WAF for web application security. Collaboration with development and operations teams is key in integrating security practices throughout the software development lifecycle. You will also be tasked with implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes. Monitoring system performance and implementing security best practices are vital to ensure high availability and reliability. Your role will also involve conducting security assessments and participating in incident response and resolution activities. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or possess equivalent experience. Demonstrated experience with AWS services and infrastructure, proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code, and hands-on experience with load balancers are essential requirements. Familiarity with containerization technologies, networking concepts, and security protocols will be beneficial. Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash for automation tasks are desired, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive problem resolution effectively. Preferred qualifications include AWS certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect/AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, experience with infrastructure monitoring tools, and knowledge of compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and GDPR in AWS environments. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are necessary for success in this role.
