DevOps Engineer (Architect)

As a Lead DevOps Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer at our company, your primary role will be to lead our engineering efforts in building robust, scalable, and secure platforms in the domain of Analytics and Application Security. This position is 80% technical and 20% leadership/stakeholder management, making it ideal for someone who excels in architecting solutions, leading a large engineering team, and driving business outcomes. **Key Responsibilities:** **Technical (80%):** - Possess 14+ years of technical experience with a strong focus on DevOps and Cloud Engineering. - Architect, design, and develop scalable applications ranging from small-scale to enterprise-scale. - Ensure high performance, responsiveness, and quality across all applications. - Develop backend services using Python (Flask) and ensure seamless integration with frontend and mobile platforms. - Implement and maintain containerized services (Docker, Kubernetes) in cloud environments such as AWS. - Utilize NoSQL databases like MongoDB for efficient management of large datasets. - Ensure adherence to security, scalability, and best practices in software development. - Collaborate with UI/UX teams to actualize designs. - Drive DevOps practices including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and monitoring. - Contribute to design documentation and maintain architecture diagrams. - Integrate with cloud messaging APIs and push notification services. - Enable data-driven development by closely collaborating with data scientists and analysts. **Stakeholder & Team Management (20%):** - Lead and mentor a team of 15-25 engineers working across multiple projects. - Collaborate with stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business goals. - Drive technical project management to ensure timely delivery. - Facilitate communication across cross-functional teams and departments. - Represent the engineering team in product planning and strategy discussions. **Qualifications Required:** - Proven experience in managing medium to large-sized engineering teams. - Demonstrated ability in designing systems architecture for high-scale applications. - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project delivery skills. - Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making capability. This role requires expertise in Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Jenkins or Gitlab, Python, and either MongoDB or NoSQL.
