Job Description

Key Responsibilities : - Cloud Environment Management : Leverage cloud platforms, primarily AWS, with additional knowledge of GCP and Azure, to design, deploy, and manage scalable infrastructure solutions. - CI/CD Pipeline Development : Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using platforms like Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, and CircleCI to streamline development and deployment processes. - Containerization & Orchestration : Manage containerized environments using Docker, KVM, and Kubernetes (K8s), with a strong understanding of virtualization and orchestration practices. - Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Utilize tools like Terraform, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation to provision, configure, and manage infrastructure resources. - Linux Systems & Networking : Maintain and optimize Linux systems, managing network components like firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers to ensure secure, high-performance connections. - Security & Compliance : Apply best practices in infrastructure and application security, managing both stateful and stateless clusters (e.g., MongoDB, Redis, etcd) and ensuring secure service-to-service communication with proper authorization and authentication. - Kubernetes & Service Mesh : Set up and configure Kubernetes clusters, manage service mesh configurations, and implement service-to-service authorization and authentication. - API Gateway Management : Configure and manage API Gateways such as Kong and AWS API Gateway to handle service requests and ensure smooth data flow across applications. - Monitoring & Telemetry : Deploy and manage monitoring, telemetry, and logging platforms, such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and ELK Stack, to maintain visibility and insight into infrastructure health and performance. - Cost Analysis & Trade-offs : Perform costing analysis across tools and technologies, making recommendations based on trade-offs to optimize infrastructure costs. - Distributed Systems Management : Oversee the development and production environments for complex, high-performance distributed systems, ensuring stability and resilience. - Capacity Planning & Load Balancing : Conduct capacity planning, design clustering solutions, and implement load balancing per architectural standards to support scalable application performance. - Documentation & Emerging Technologies : Prepare architectural design documentation, including system diagrams and component inventories, and evaluate emerging technologies to make recommendations for potential adoption. Skills & Qualifications : - Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). - Experience : 3+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, with strong operational expertise. - Cloud Platforms : Strong knowledge of AWS, with additional understanding of GCP and Azure. - CI/CD Platforms : Proficiency in Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, and CircleCI. - Containers & Virtualization : Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), and KVM. - Networking : Good understanding of firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and related networking components. - IaC Tools : Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation. - Database Clusters : Familiarity with managing DB clusters, such as MongoDB, Redis, and etcd. - API Gateway Configuration : Experience with Kong, AWS API Gateway, or similar tools. - Monitoring Tools : Strong skills in setting up and configuring platforms like OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and ELK Stack. - Problem-Solving : Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with the capability to work independently. - Ownership & Accountability : A track record of high- quality work with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
