Development Engineer

As a Development Engineer at TVS Motor Company's Hosur Plant in Tamil Nadu, India, you will be a part of the CP - IDM & Capital Procurement department. Your primary responsibility will be to procure indirect material parts to support production and raw materials used in production across multiple plants including Plant I, II, III, Mysore, Himachal, and 3W. Your key responsibilities will include negotiating and finalizing prices of indirect material parts, as well as negotiating and finalizing contracts for capital equipment, tools, fixtures, gauzes, and Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC). You will also be responsible for finalizing group buy contracts for raw materials and tools, monitoring and reviewing group buy performance, and making decisions on price adjustments based on market scenarios. Additionally, you will be in charge of releasing Purchase Orders to ensure smooth procurement processes. To excel in this role, you should have 3 to 8 years of relevant experience and possess strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make informed decisions to support the production needs of the plants.
