Development Consultant - SAP ECC

As a Development Consultant at Global Business Systems (GBS) in Pune, you will be part of a team that works with various divisions of Springer Nature to implement and manage business critical systems and services. GBS encompasses important teams such as SAP, Salesforce, Basis, QA, BI, and App Factory. A CRM solution is a key platform that aids in managing customer interactions efficiently, encompassing tools for customer data tracking, sales, marketing, and service processes. At GBS, we opt for top solutions like Salesforce Sales Cloud, HubSpot, CDP, and GCP to ensure robust relationships and growth. Your role as a Development Consultant will involve supporting the team in developing solutions for business needs. You will play a crucial role in solutioning, design, development, and delivery of solutions on SAP systems. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, staying updated with the latest SAP technologies, and enhancing your skills will be essential aspects of your role. The job is based in Pune, with team members also located in Germany and the UK, offering a mix of remote and in-office working. Responsibilities include creating complex applications within an Agile team, ensuring solutions meet business needs, coding in a pair programming environment, contributing to project priorities, and collaborating with business stakeholders. You will be involved in daily stand-ups, planning, story writing, design, retrospectives, and developing new features to improve code quality. Within the first 3 months, you will familiarize yourself with systems, integrations, Agile processes, and develop solutions as part of the SAP team. By 3-6 months, you will understand technical requirements, provide technical support during go-live, and ensure team deliverables meet quality standards. Within 6-12 months, you will engage in discussions with business stakeholders, manage tickets independently, design and code complex programs, and support incident resolution. To excel in this role, proficiency in ABAP Technologies, S4 HANA ABAP developments, experience in Fiori application, SAP Odata, and agile methodologies is required. Excellent analytical abilities, communication skills, self-motivation, and domain knowledge in SD, MM, and FI modules are essential.
