About the Role

You ll be working as a Developer on our Network Appliances Backend Team, responsible for delivering software designed for operation on remotely located network monitoring appliances and to support their operation to solve real-world security problems that our customers face.

As a Developer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our network appliance products are secure, performant and reliable. This position will involve designing, developing and delivering software projects in close collaboration with our product and network appliance teams to create network appliance software packages to ensure our customers secure and informed.

Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will be:

• Developing and implementing Cloud Application software with responsibility and autonomy.
• Addressing complex issues creatively, using analytical and problem-solving techniques to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Exercising judgment in selecting methods, evaluating, adapting of complex techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Investigating encountered edge case issues in the field to iterate and improve overall product quality.

About You

You are an experienced software developer with professional experience in developing in the cloud for network applications, telecommunications and/or remote IoT devices. You are comfortable working independently to operate across the full software development lifecycle ranging from forward looking design considerations and short-term operational response necessities.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience developing native Linux environments.
• Professional work experience developing solutions to problems in GoLang or Python.
• Experience developing for AWS based production applications is required.
• Possession of a comprehensive understanding of software development best practices, with a demonstrated track record in writing high quality software and debugging code.
• Passionate about software testing and test-driven development.

Additional bonus points for the following, but not strictly necessary:

• Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, and test automation tools.
• Experience with Containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience with Web Frameworks such as Flask, Django, FastAPI, Gin or Mux.
• Experience with monitoring software tooling such as Prometheus or OpenTelemetry
• Demonstrated ability to adopt and learn new technologies quickly.
