Developer III - Software Engineering

Role Overview: As a Software Engineer at UST, you will be responsible for independently developing error-free code with high-quality validation of applications. Your role will involve guiding other developers, assisting Lead 1 Software Engineering, and providing input to the application/feature/component designs. You will be developing them in accordance with user stories/requirements, coding, debugging, testing, documenting, and communicating product/component/features at development stages. Key Responsibilities: - Select appropriate technical options for development, such as reusing, improving, or reconfiguring existing components - Optimize efficiency, cost, and quality by identifying opportunities for automation/process improvements and agile delivery models - Mentor Developer 1 Software Engineering and Developer 2 Software Engineering - Assist Lead 1 Software Engineering on technical design, review activities, and making technical decisions - Adhere to engineering process and standards, schedule/timelines, SLAs, and other metrics for measurement - Develop code independently, monitor configuration processes, create and review unit test cases, and manage module level activities - Perform defect RCA and mitigation, estimate time, effort, and resource dependence for work, and create documentation - Contribute to project-related documents, SharePoint, libraries, and client universities, report task status, and execute release processes - Mentor juniors on the team, set FAST goals, and provide feedback - Explain and communicate design/development to the customer, evaluate test results, develop user interfaces, business software components, and embedded software components - Use data models, estimate effort and resources required, and perform tests in the customer or target environment - Possess good written and verbal communication abilities, be a team player, and proactively seek and offer help Qualifications Required: - Knowledge of appropriate software programs/modules, technical designing, programming languages, DBMS, operating systems, software platforms, and integrated development environments (IDE) - Familiarity with agile methods, and knowledge of customer domains and subdomains where problems are solved - Ability to manage and guarantee high levels of cohesion and quality in development processes Note: UST is a global digital transformation solutions provider that focuses on working with leading companies to drive real impact through innovation and agility.
