Position title Technology Business Process Specialist Aerospace Location - Electronic City, Bangalore Gender - Female Reports to Technology Systems and Process Manager Global Aerospace Education and Experience Bachelors degree or additional 4+ years of relevant experience required; engineering or other relevant technical degree strongly preferred. • Minimum 5 years of experience within the Engineering Process in Aerospace industry. • Must be a strong communicator and possess a good level of energy and drive. Summary of the role The Technology Business Process Engineer, being part of the Technology Services & Innovation department is responsible for defining, writing and maintaining the processes and procedures supporting all Engineering activities within the Company Aerospace Technology group. The Technology Business Process Engineer will support primarily the Aerospace Global Value stream and the Technology Services & Innovation departments to ensure Reliable and Efficient process across the whole Aerospace Engineering activities. In addition, she/he will support the maintenance within the Quality management system of these related engineering processes. These activities could involve but are not limited to: Define Global Technology processes in agreement with each activity process owners. • Support Quality Management System maintenance. • Review external requirements (Customers, industry standards) and ensure flow down in appropriate processes. Tasks and Responsibilities Conduct global harmonization of engineering processes related to product development across the 5 Global Aerospace Value Streams. • Definition and maintenance of the high-level process bridging every engineering specific activities into a consistent and certified overall process • Support the roll-out of APQP across the Aerospace engineering organization, by adapting the current process to each individual Value stream and write the detailed procedures. Define and maintain processes and procedures related to Test and qualification of TSS Aerospace Products and materials. Supported by the process owners of this activity. Define and maintain processes and procedures related to Research & Development for TSS Aerospace technologies. Supported by the process owners of this activity. Maintain processes and procedures related to Project Management for TSS Aerospace technologies. Supported by the process owners of this activity. Ensure processes and procedures defined are consistent with the supporting systems used by engineering end-users (PLM, ERPetc). This task will be achieved by a strong collaboration with the System Architect and iteratives amendments of processes & systems. Continuous improvement of the procedures related to audit findings and adaptation to market new requirements. Continuous improvement of processes and procedures related to process owner feedback in a purpose of performance optimization in process execution. Good Knowledge of Machining Components. Good Knowledge Plastic Components and Automotive Interiors and exterior trim Knowledge in Injection moulding process. Have a working knowledge of plastic materials and manufacturing processes Experience in DFM design, mould design. Knowledge of engineering process and product development life cycle. Prepare conceptual sketches of new system considering the relations between components, functional requirements, allocation of space and component geometry. Develops designs for form/fit/function to meet customer and design criteria. Ability to specify realistic tolerances using GD&T and machining symbols. Be proficient in surface design, part modelling, assembly design and drafting in SolidWorks Ensures adherence to program schedule Strong problem-solving attitude Excellent personal organization, ability to prioritize and carry out multiple tasks. CAD software knowledge: SolidWorks and UG NX Knowledge in Catia Added Advantage
