Position: Desktop Support Engineer (Contractual-No PF,ESIC)

Job description

Position Overview: The Desktop Support Engineer will provide technical support for hardware and software. The role involves troubleshooting, resolving IT-related problems, and ensuring smooth operation of desktop systems and peripheral devices. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Support:
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
• Assist in diagnosing and repairing network connectivity problems, including LAN and Wi-Fi issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and applications.
2. Incident Management:
• Log and manage support requests in the ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution.
• Prioritize and escalate critical issues to higher-level IT teams when necessary.
• Document solutions and maintain a knowledge base for recurring problems.

Skills and Qualifications.

• 1+years of experience in desktop support or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Windows, Ubuntu and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with IT support tools, ticketing systems, and remote desktop applications.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment

• Office-based with occasional on-site visits to resolve issues.
• Require flexible hours to support critical incidents outside regular business hours.(Rotational shift)
