Job description Position Overview: The Desktop Support Engineer will provide technical support for hardware, software, and networking issues. The role involves troubleshooting, resolving IT-related problems, and ensuring smooth operation of desktop systems and peripheral devices. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Technical Support: Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals. Assist in diagnosing and repairing network connectivity problems, including LAN and Wi-Fi issues. Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and applications. Incident Management: Log and manage support requests in the ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution. Prioritize and escalate critical issues to higher-level IT teams when necessary. Document solutions and maintain a knowledge base for recurring problems. Skills and Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience). 1+years of experience in desktop support or a similar role. Proficiency in Windows, Ubuntu and Linux operating systems. Knowledge of basic networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP). Experience with IT support tools, ticketing systems, and remote desktop applications. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Work Environment Office-based with occasional on-site visits to resolve issues. Require flexible hours to support critical incidents outside regular business hours.
