Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Engineer to join our in-house IT team. This role is responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting services to internal users across hardware, software, and network-related issues. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth day-to-day operations of desktop systems and contribute to a secure and efficient IT environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and hardware.
• Troubleshoot software and hardware issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory and other systems.
• Support remote access tools (VPN, RDP) and mobile device management.
• Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure proper documentation.
• Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues.
• Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security protocols.
• Assist in onboarding/offboarding employees with IT setup and recovery.
• Provide training or guidance to users on basic IT practices and tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 13 years of experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk roles.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow) and remote support tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
