Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Engineer to join our in-house IT team. This role is responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting services to internal users across hardware, software, and network-related issues. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth day-to-day operations of desktop systems and contribute to a secure and efficient IT environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and hardware.
Troubleshoot software and hardware issues in a timely and effective manner.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory and other systems.
Support remote access tools (VPN, RDP) and mobile device management.
Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure proper documentation.
Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues.
Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security protocols.
Assist in onboarding/offboarding employees with IT setup and recovery.
Provide training or guidance to users on basic IT practices and tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
13 years of experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk roles.
Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking.
Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow) and remote support tools.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
