Desktop Support Engineer

As an IT Support Technician, your role involves the installation of operating systems and other applications such as Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, etc. in accordance with the customer's software deployment policy. You will also be responsible for adding or removing accessories, peripherals, or mobile devices, as well as configuring PCs. Key Responsibilities: - Perform troubleshooting and verify hardware and software based on client requirements - Configure desktop and laptop systems according to the desktop/laptop standardization policies of the customer - Configure and troubleshoot printers - Set up Outlook and address related issues on systems and PDAs - Troubleshoot and resolve desktop/laptop operating system issues - Assist users in accessing applications following standard operating procedures - Coordinate with vendors for call logging, tracking, and closure of OEM calls related to hardware, software, and networking support - Conduct basic troubleshooting of network-related issues for laptops, internet access, and connectivity - Track and ensure end-to-end closure of escalated issues with the back-end team and domain owners Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in installing and configuring operating systems and applications - Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software - Knowledge of printer configuration and troubleshooting - Experience in setting up Outlook and resolving related issues - Ability to troubleshoot desktop/laptop operating system issues - Familiarity with network troubleshooting and internet connectivity - Excellent communication and coordination skills for vendor management If there are any additional details regarding the company in the job description, please provide them for a more comprehensive understanding of the role.
