Desktop Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide

  technical support

  for end-users via in-person, phone, or remote channels.
• Diagnose and resolve

  hardware and software issues

  on desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and maintain

  operating systems

  including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Perform

  system updates

  , patches, and upgrades as needed.
• Troubleshoot

  network connectivity issues

  related to TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Implement and support

  security protocols

  , including endpoint protection and data encryption.
• Maintain asset inventory and documentation for IT equipment and support activities.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies and security best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Desktop Support Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of

  Windows, macOS, and Linux

  operating systems.
• Solid understanding of

  networking fundamentals

  (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with

  hardware troubleshooting

  and peripheral support.
• Familiarity with

  security protocols

  and endpoint protection tools.
• Excellent

  problem-solving

  and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications such as

  CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft MCSA, or Apple ACSP

  .
• Experience with ticketing systems like

  ServiceNow, Jira, or Zendesk

  .
• Exposure to scripting (PowerShell, Bash) for automation is a plus.
