Desktop Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• System Administration & Support

• Manage and support

  Windows Server

   environments, Active Directory, and Group Policies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot

  Windows OS

   for desktops, laptops, and trading systems.
• Provide remote desktop support and resolve user issues promptly.

• Security & Compliance

• Monitor and configure

  firewalls

  , ensuring secure access to internal and external networks.
• Manage and update

  anti-virus solutions

   across all systems.
• Ensure timely

  data backups

   and conduct restoration drills.

• Interact with auditors and provide clear explanations of IT infrastructure, IT policies, and compliance procedures.

• Trading Systems Management

• Provide technical support for

  front-office and back-office trading platforms

  .
• Ensure uninterrupted uptime and performance of trading systems.

• Microsoft 365 & Productivity Tools

• Administer

  Microsoft 365

   products (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Manage user accounts, access rights, and license allocations.

• Network & Infrastructure

• Support LAN/WAN connectivity and troubleshoot network issues.
• Monitor system performance and optimize IT infrastructure for reliability.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

• 3–5 years

   of experience as a Desktop Engineer, IT Support Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of

  Windows OS & Windows Server environments

  .
• Hands-on experience with

  firewalls, VPNs, and remote desktop tools

  .
• Experience in managing

  backups and disaster recovery procedures

  .
• Familiarity with

  trading systems

   is a strong plus.
• Strong understanding of

  Microsoft 365 administration

  .
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills to

  interact with auditors and explain IT policies/compliance frameworks

  .
• Ability to work under pressure in a

  trading/financial services environment

  .

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as

  MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, or CompTIA Security+

  .
• Prior experience in

  financial services or trading environments

  .
• Knowledge of

  cybersecurity best practices

   and

  IT audit processes

  .
