Job Description

Housekeeping Desk Attendant is the central communication hub for the entire Housekeeping department. This role is responsible for coordinating all internal communication, managing room status updates, logging guest requests, and ensuring the efficient deployment of staff.

Responsibilities

  • Communication Hub:

    Answer all incoming calls to the Housekeeping office promptly and professionally, acting as the primary point of contact for guests, Front Office, Engineering, and Housekeeping staff.

  • Request Logging & Dispatch:

    Accurately

    log and prioritize

    all guest requests (e.g., extra towels, amenities, maintenance) into the Property Management System (PMS) or tracking software, and efficiently

    dispatch

    the appropriate staff member (Room Attendant, Supervisor, or Engineer).

  • Room Status Management:

    Constantly monitor and update the

    room status inventory

    (e.g., Clean, Dirty, Inspected, Out-of-Order) in the PMS, ensuring real-time accuracy and seamless communication with the Front Office.

  • Administrative Support:

    Assist Housekeeping Supervisors with preparing daily assignment sheets, tracking

    attendance

    , and compiling shift reports and logs.

  • Key Control:

    Manage the secure issuance and retrieval of all

    master keys

    and communication devices (e.g., radios), strictly adhering to security protocols.

  • Documentation:

    Maintain meticulous records of lost and found items, guest amenity requests, and maintenance work orders.
