Mandatory Skills

1. Hands-on knowledge of Machine and Design tools

2. To design and optimize mechanical components.

3. To Design calculations relating to machine components

4. To have a clear understanding of drawing standards.

5. To prepare manufacturing drawings, parts, and lists in accordance with applicable standards.

6. To have an interface with outside vendors for component selection, manufacturing, and assembly.

7. To read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.

8. Managing projects using engineering principles and techniques.

9. Hand on experience in solid works and related design tools.

10. Design verifications / debugging / design validation to be done to satisfy the end-user requirements

11. Ensures design files and information are kept up to date, and stored in accordance with departmental procedures.

12. Being updated with the latest manufacturing techniques and drawing standards.

13. Liaises with other departments to ensure that the required information is available when needed and customer requests are dealt with in a timely manner.
