Name of position- Design Manger - Solar Projects

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors Degree: Electrical Engineering (mandatory)
• Masters Degree: Renewable Energy / Power Systems (preferred)
• Experience: Minimum 8+ years in solar PV design, Experience in MW-scale ground-mounted solar plants is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

To lead, manage, and deliver complete design solutions for ground-mounted solar PV projects, ensuring technical accuracy, code compliance, cost optimization, constructability, and timely delivery throughout the project lifecycle—from feasibility and tender stage to commissioning.

Design Leadership & Management

• Own end-to-end design responsibility for ground-mounted solar PV projects
• Develop and manage design schedules, deliverables, and approvals
• Review and approve all engineering drawings and calculations
• Establish and enforce design standards, templates, and best practices

Electrical Design (Core)

• DC system design:
• String configuration and optimization
• Inverter sizing and selection
• AC system design:
• LV/MV system design
• Transformer sizing
• Pooling substation and evacuation system design
• Prepare and review:
• Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
• Protection schemes & coordination
• Earthing and lightning protection systems
• Ensure compliance with

  IEC / IEEE standards and local grid codes

Plant Layout & Energy Yield

• Review and optimize:
• Plant & block layouts
• Module orientation, spacing, and pitch
• Supervise

  energy yield assessment

  using

  PVsyst

• Review loss assumptions and performance ratio calculations
• Ensure bankable and realistic energy estimates

Civil & Structural Coordination

• Coordinate design inputs for:
• Module mounting structures (fixed-tilt / trackers)
• Foundation systems (pile, RCC, micro-pile, etc.)
• Site grading and drainage concepts
• Interface with civil and structural teams to ensure constructability

Grid interconnection & substation design knowledge
