The Design manager is a senior-level position responsible for leading the design and
development of innovative and high-quality trailers, tippers, and dumpers. This role requiresstrong technical expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking to guide the company'sproduct roadmap and ensure competitive advantage.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Strategic Product Development:-Develop and execute the long-term product strategy for trailers, tippers, and dumpers,aligning with market trends, customer needs, and company objectives.-Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and technology scouting to identify newproduct opportunities.-Define product specifications, features, and performance targets.Design Leadership:-Lead and mentor a team of design engineers, providing technical guidance and careerdevelopment support.-Oversee all stages of the design process, from concept development to final production.-Ensure adherence to design standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.Advanced Engineering:-Drive the adoption of advanced engineering principles and technologies, such as:-Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural optimization-Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for aerodynamic and thermal analysisLightweighting technologies and materials-Advanced manufacturing techniquesProject Management:-Manage complex design projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget,and to the required quality standards.-Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., manufacturing, procurement, sales) toensure smooth product development and launch.Innovation and Intellectual Property:-Foster a culture of innovation within the design team.-Identify and protect intellectual property through patents and other mechanisms.

Qualifications:
Education: Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. PhD in Engineeringis a strong plus.Experience: 6+ years of progressive experience in the design and development of heavy-duty vehicles, with a strong focus on trailers, tippers, and dumpers.Technical Expertise:Deep understanding of vehicle dynamics, structural mechanics, and materials science.Expertise in CAD/CAE software (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, ANSYS).Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, DOT, etc.).Leadership and Management:Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to lead and motivate high-performing teams.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.Other Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Detail-oriented and accuracy-focused.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
