Design Manager / Deputy Manager Design

Role & responsibilities

• Reviews project specifications and drawings to ensure complete comprehension of the overall requirements (customers/standard specifications).
• Prepare and review the drawings and design calculation as per the specifications, codes and standards
• Liaise with other concerned discipline engineers on design/ engineering matters.
• Prepare and Review purchase specification and technical requirement for all the raw material and bought out components
• Ensuring smooth implementation of design / engineering requirements
• Acting as focal point in reviewing design and engineering changes and involving in finding a solution.
• Preparation of agenda and action plan for design/ engineering review meetings
• Reporting the status of design documents and revisions if any to discipline Head
• Prepare detailed design of tanks for execution of projects 
• Carry out the engineering design activities basic engineering, plant layout and system engineering necessary to fulfil the requirements of the assigned project work. 
• Preparing piping Layout drawing, Isometric drawing from piping Layout for fabrication and erecting work.
• Checking of isometric as per Piping layout, Line List, P&ID and Piping Specification.
• Preparing mechanical data sheet and review
• Co-ordinate with customers for execution of the design & projects
• Complete all the specifications and documentation required for the manufacture and/or procurement of equipment necessary for the successful execution of the assigned work.
• Select the materials and components required
• Provide inputs for cost optimization of the facilities
• Technical queries clarification, technical Bid Evaluation of Bidders / Contractors
• Ensure that all work complies with relevant statutory requirements and ISO standards, as applicable.
• Prepare for tendering layout designs.
• Interface with the Client and vendors as required for purchase and fabrication work.
• Correspondence with clients, contractors, vendors and resolving technical issues.

Preferred candidate profile

• BE (Mechanical)

   from reputed institution with

   of years of experience in design, preferably in Cryogenic Storage Tank, Pressure Vessels, Storage Tank, Static Equipment / Boiler design.
• Computer Skills in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PV-ELite, Compress

  ,

   Autopipe, Caesar II
• Working knowledge in all International Codes & Standards
•  ASME Section-III Div.1, B31.3, EN, ASCE, UBC, IS1893 & 875, SMPV, PESO and PNGRB guidelines
•  Knowledge in basic design and process of LNG/LCNG stations.
•  Engineering deliverables management like calculation, general arrangement, assembly & detail drawings.
•  Problem solving skills in engineering, procurement & construction
