Design Manager Apparel & Product Development

You are urgently required to join Citykart as a Design Lead / Design Manager (PD) to lead the product development team. Your role will involve providing strong design leadership, hands-on creativity, and developing trend-driven and commercially successful collections across Menswear, Womenswear, and Kidswear. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead and manage the apparel design team for Mens, Ladies, and Kids categories. - Conduct trend forecasting, customer research, and competitor analysis for developing relevant collections. - Create seasonal lines focusing on aesthetics, fit, fabric quality, and commercial value. - Translate fashion trends into market-ready apparel designs. - Collaborate with Merchandising, PD, and Pre-Production teams for seamless product execution. - Supervise vendor relationships, sampling approvals, and quality alignment. - Maintain brand identity and consistency across all categories. - Mentor the design team to enhance creativity, productivity, and performance. - Manage timelines and budgets efficiently. **Eligibility & Qualifications:** - Graduate from NIFT / Pearl Academy / NIFD is preferred. - Minimum of 6-7 years of experience, with at least 2-3 years in a similar leadership role. - Experience across Mens, Ladies, and Kids divisions is required. - Previous experience in value retail or similar chain of stores is advantageous. - Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, trims, and fashion trends. - Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and relevant design tools. - Excellent leadership, creativity, communication, and coordination skills.
