Job Description

Design Lead at Contipro Industries

Contipro Industries is seeking a Design Lead in Pune, Maharashtra, India. This role is crucial for overseeing design operations, leading a team, and ensuring the successful development and implementation of products.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Design Engineers, assigning tasks, fostering collaboration, and supporting their professional growth.

* Advanced Design & Engineering: Oversee all design activities from reverse engineering and benchmarking to detailed 3D modeling and drafting. Ensure all designs adhere to company standards for weight, density, manufacturing, and assembly optimization (DFM/DFA).

* Project & Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the main technical point of contact for customer specifications, collaborating closely with Sales, Purchase, and Manufacturing teams to ensure design requirements are met and projects transition smoothly to production. You'll also provide design-related input for costing and pricing.

* Quality Assurance & Problem Solving: Review and approve designs for quality, address and resolve design-related issues, handle customer objections, and implement design improvements based on feedback.

* Data Management & Process Improvement: Maintain accurate design data, manage costing sheets linked to design inputs, and continuously improve design data management systems and documentation processes.

This role requires a leader who can drive design excellence, manage a team effectively, and collaborate across departments to deliver high-quality products.
