Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed designs and drawings for Fire Fighting and ELV systems using AutoCAD or other design software.

  • Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and material take-offs based on project drawings and requirements.

  • Ensure design compliance with relevant standards (NFPA, BS, UAE Fire Code, etc.) and client specifications.

  • Collaborate with MEP teams, architects, and consultants to ensure coordination of services and conflict-free designs.

  • Perform hydraulic calculations for sprinkler systems and other fire protection systems.

  • Design ELV systems including CCTV, access control, fire alarm, public address, structured cabling, and BMS.

  • Attend technical meetings and support site teams with design clarifications or revisions.

  • Update and maintain design documentation and drawing logs.

  • Review and incorporate feedback from consultants, contractors, and authorities.

  • Support the procurement team with technical evaluations and supplier specifications.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.

  • 3-6 years of experience in designing Fire Fighting and ELV systems in the construction or MEP industry.

  • Strong knowledge of local and international codes (e.g., NFPA, BS, DEWA, Civil Defense guidelines).

  • Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, Dialux, or other relevant tools is a plus.

  • Experience in BOQ preparation and cost estimation.

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
