Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated mechanical design engineer to join team Valmet. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing mechanical components and assemblies, ensuring functionality, manufacturability and compliance with industry standards.

The successful candidate is expected to perform the following tasks.

• Diploma / bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 5-8 years of experience in Paper or heavy equipment engineering.
• Experience in engineering of welded designs is a prerequisite for this position.
• Good understanding of GD&T, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in CAD software’s such as AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor is a prerequisite for this position. Knowledge of Catia is an added advantage.
• Follow up and expedite for timely completion of tasks.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ensuring the correct/ accurate/ latest drawings go to fabrication.
