Job Title: Design Engineer – Tool Room
Department: Tool Room
Reporting to: Design Head
Location: Ludhiana
Salary: ₹45,000 – ₹50,000 CTC
Job Objective
Design and develop dies, fixtures, and tools as per specifications provided by the Design Head.
Responsibilities
Conduct 2D/3D modeling and simulations of dies, tools, and fixtures.
Support die maintenance and implement corrective design actions.
Coordinate with suppliers for outsourced designs and ensure timely approvals.
Improve designs to reduce cycle time and increase productivity.
Provide technical support to manufacturing team for die design queries.
Maintain PLM uploads, documentation, and statutory compliance.
Participate in Kaizen, TPM, and other improvement initiatives.
Attend trainings to enhance technical skills.
Qualifications & Skills
B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
1–2 years of experience in Automobile/Auto Component R&D/Design/Testing.
Knowledge of press/die casting, fixtures, gauges design.
Proficiency in CAD, CAM, 2D & 3D modeling.
