Design Engineer (Mechanical)

As a Design Engineer in the manufacturing industry, your key responsibilities will include designing and developing 3D models of forging tools, dies, and fixtures using SolidWorks software. You will be expected to create detailed 2D engineering drawings with dimensions, tolerances, and materials specifications for manufacturing purposes. It will be crucial for you to collaborate with the production team to ensure that designs are feasible for mass production and meet quality standards. Working closely with engineering, production, and quality control teams, you will troubleshoot design and manufacturing issues, conduct design reviews, and provide technical support to ensure that designs meet performance, safety, and cost requirements. Additionally, you will be analyzing and optimizing designs for manufacturability, assembly, and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate for this position should have 3-5 years of experience in a similar role and hold a Diploma or B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
