Role Overview: As a Design Engineer at Pneumatic Power Tools & Company Private Limited, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of next-generation hydraulic and pneumatic systems and tools. Your expertise in SolidWorks and mechanical engineering background will be instrumental in optimizing product performance and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This on-site position in Kolkata, West Bengal, will require close collaboration with various teams to deliver innovative and high-performance products. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop hydraulic and pneumatic systems and tools using SolidWorks. - Conduct mechanical analysis, including stress, strain, and fatigue analysis, through Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for product optimization. - Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure cost-effective and compliant designs. - Create and maintain technical drawings, 3D models, and BOMs with accuracy and adherence to design standards. - Participate in cross-functional teams to enhance existing product designs and propose innovative solutions. - Carry out prototyping, testing, and validation to ensure product performance and durability. - Implement DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles for optimized product design. - Keep abreast of the latest manufacturing technologies, materials, and industry trends. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors Degree (B.E./B.Tech) or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field. - 3+ years of experience in hydraulic and pneumatic product design and development. - Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling, drafting, and simulation. - Strong knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for product optimization. - Familiarity with manufacturing processes like machining, casting, welding, and injection molding. - Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and industry standards. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, on-site environment with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Knowledge of material selection and surface treatment techniques for hydraulic and pneumatic applications.
